Triple Choc

Triple Choc

Woolworths Triple Choc is a cheaper attempt at Arnott’s venerable Tim Tam. Like the Tim Tam it has a crunchy chocolate biscuit covered in chocolate. However, unlike Arnott’s offering, the Triple Choc is not very good. When taken out of the packet the chocolate was pockmarked and had strange white marks on the chocolate. The chocolate was hardened and cheap tasting and the biscuit was overly dry and hard.

However this is all explained by the price of the biscuit. At only $1.25 they are fairly good value, even taking into account their poor quality. As part of Woolworths ‘Home Brand’ line you probably are not buying these for their price over most other factors and as a cheap alternative to the Tim Tim they are just fine.

IF you’re after a very cheap Tim Tam replacement (for roughly half the price of the real thing) the Triple Choc will make do. However the Tim Tam is still the king of this type of biscuit and if you had to chose between the two the Tim Tam is the clear winner.
