Toffee Caramel

Three Stars
Toffee Caramel
The Select series Toffee Caramel’s from Woolworth’s are a cheap chocolate biscuit suited for morning teas or lunch breaks. Much like the Orange Delights, the Toffee Caramels are a small, round disc of crunchy biscuit with a (toffee flavoured) filling and a chocolate coating. They are a fairly average biscuit with the cheap ingredients leading to an average tasting bikkie.

They come in a fairly large pack and on sale are very cheap (at only $1.79) but the decision is between cost and quality. The flavouring is alright and the biscuit itself is also ok, but they do do not unseat Arnott’s Mint Slice from its podium. The biscuits do taste like toffee (as advertised) but the chocolate coating lets it down. The main redeeming factor is their ‘crunch-factor’ which is perfect (not too hard or too soft).
